As someone who used MAC's for a couple of decades before reluctantly switching to the ubiquitousPC due to it's workplace dominance, I've always wondered: "How did second rate became first choice?"
For one thing, "second rate" was significantly cheaper. For another, as a user of the "first rate" products circa 1990, I can attest that failure was not an option on the "first rate" either. (It did come with a nice icon of a bomb, though.)
