Speaking of Programs that are Seriously Behind Schedule and Above Budget

It looks like the Republic of South Africa has had enough, and it has cancelled its order for the EADS A400M Transport.

I guess that between a 3 year (and growing) delay on deliveries, continuing cost escalation, and the fact that it is overweight and incapable of carrying its specified payload might lead one to look at other transport alternatives.
