NASA Demonstrates Orion Solar Array Deployment
It's called a
UltraFlex solar array
, and it looks like the photovoltaics are mounted on mylar or something similar.
It's intended for the Orion crew exploration vehicle, which is intended to, among other things, carry a crew to the moon.
